Home School Music Curriculum

Yakima Adventist Christian School would like to enhance your home school experience by providing a quality music curriculum for your child.
The YACS music program will give your children the opportunity to develop their music skills in a variety of group settings.  Not only will they understand the excitement of playing with a group, but the boost in self-esteem and confidence is immeasurable.
General Music Concepts
  • Rhythm
  • Melody
  • Harmony
  • Musical Form
  • Tone Color
  • Expression
These concepts are learned by listening, singing, playing, acting, and moving activities.
        YACS Music Classes 
K-6: General Music
5-6: Beginner Band
7-10: Concert Band*
7-10: Concert Choir*
7-10: Harmony Choir*
Each class meets 2 times a week.


*Washington state high school credit is available for these classes.
