K Supplies & Info
Thank you for enrolling your child in Kindergarten at YACS this fall. You may be wondering what your child will need for the upcoming school year, so here goes.
You will be billed $60 for school supplies ($35 for children staying half days). This fee will help cover the costs of pencils, erasers, glue, markers, scissors, craft supplies, etc.
Please supply the following items for your child:
1. Backpack – Be sure to find one large enough to fit your child’s lunchbox along with any LARGE library books and school papers securely inside.
2. Snack or money for snacks - There is a time for a snack every morning. We have a Snack Center in the classroom that your child may buy from (25¢ each) or he/she may select one healthy item from his/her lunch each day.
3. Lunch - Since we have a very limited time to eat, please send a healthy lunch that is already prepared and only needing a quick warming (microwave available in our classroom). Hot lunches are available at least one day each week. The menu will be posted on the on-line calendar and weekly in the school newsletter. You may purchase tickets for $15 good for five lunches from the office or send $3 each week to the classroom.
What to have your child wear:
- Being a private school we do have a dress code. Please refer to the school handbook for details.
- Please have your child wear comfortable non-marking shoes that stay securely on his/her feet. Kindergarteners are very active as you know and we want them to stay safe!
Please be sure to write your child’s name on his/her backpack, lunch box, jackets . . . everything that regularly comes to school. It is amazing how many items end up in our lost and found!
