My husband and I live in the country and are parenting four children who are in high school and college. I am active in my home church community, and I love to garden and spend time with my family and pets. |

I am certified by the North Pacific Union of Seventh-day Adventists and the State of Washington. I received my professional teacher's certificate in 2007. I have been teaching since 1995; the last four have been here at YACS.
I have an unshakable conviction that God is real and interested in each of our lives. Teaching at YACS gives me the privilege of sharing my walk and encouraging my students to give God a chance to direct their choices. It is my goal to facilitate learning in light of the Word of God. I want my students to become informed consumers of all they encounter, be it the media, academics, or the messages on the shirts. Through avenues of exploration, students have the opportunity to personalize material they come in contact with and apply it to their futures. |

For the most part, the classes I teach are discussion and project driven. Students are encouraged to take the foundation laid in elementary classes and personalize them in preparation for their high school years.
